Privacy policy

Last updated: September 2026

This page explains how the data of people who subscribe to the newsletter for “Aspettando l'alba di un giorno nuovo” is handled. In short: I only collect your email address, I use it only to write to you about the book, and you can unsubscribe whenever you like.

Data controller

The data controller is the author publishing under the pen name “Edo Maré”, reachable at edo@edomare.com. For any request concerning your data, you can write to this address.

What data I collect

Only your email address, which you provide voluntarily by filling in the subscription form. I do not collect your name, surname, phone number or any other personal information.

Why I process it

I use your address solely to send you the free first chapter of the novel and communications about the book (release announcements, occasional updates). I do not use it for profiling, I do not send you third-party advertising, and I do not sell or share the data with anyone for marketing purposes.

Legal basis

Processing is based on your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 — GDPR), collected through double confirmation (double opt-in): after subscribing you receive an email that you must confirm, and only then are you added to the list.

How and where it is processed

The newsletter is managed through Kit (Kit/ConvertKit), the provider that sends emails on my behalf, acting as data processor. Data may also be processed on servers located in the United States, with the safeguards provided by the GDPR for international transfers (standard contractual clauses and/or the Data Privacy Framework). Kit's privacy notice is available on their website.

How long I keep it

I keep your address for as long as you remain subscribed. If you unsubscribe or request erasure, the data is removed.

Your rights

At any time you can exercise the rights set out in Articles 15–22 of the GDPR:

• access your data, correct it or request its erasure;
• restrict or object to processing, and request data portability;
• withdraw your consent at any time — every email contains an unsubscribe link, and you can also write to edo@edomare.com;
• lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority (in Italy, the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali).

Cookies

This site is static and does not use tracking or profiling cookies. The subscription form provided by Kit may use technical cookies necessary for it to work.

Changes

If this policy changes, the update date above will be changed accordingly.
